We offer osteopathic treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal problems. The following list is by no means exhaustive but illustrates some of the more common conditions treated.

We can also offer treatment for many childhood complaints.

Gentle non-invasive techniques, known as craniosacral treatment, are often used to relieve birth stress patterns, which may result in prolonged colic. Poor sleep patterns may also be relieved by similar treatment.

Childhood asthma is often helped by relief of stress patterns and attention to the child’s breathing mechanisms

Many cases of glue ear respond well to this approach.

Some physical growth problems such as growing pains and postural or joint problems respond to osteopathic treatment approaches.

The Wantage Osteopathic Practice can also offer Sports Therapy which includes sports massage, rehabilitation advice, exercise programs and advice on getting or staying in shape.

We have a counsellor who works from the practice, Tracy Searle, who can help with stress management, assertiveness, weight management, relationship problems, self esteem issues, social anxiety and psychosexual problems.Tracy is a registered nurse and a registered therapist who has trained with Relate and Cruse Bereavement services.

We also have a sports therapist, Gerry Bird www.gbsportsco.co.uk, who works from the practice. He can help with the treatment of all sports injuries using sports massage, rehabilitation exercises, sports nutrition and biomechanical advice. He can also offer remedial massage.

Our other Massage Therapist is Annabel Campbell www.annabelcampbell.vpweb.co.uk. Annabel offers a strong sports massage or a more gentle therapeutic or relaxation massage depending on your needs.

Jess Buck www.jessbuck.com is available at the practice for acupuncture. Jess can treat general problems, but also specialises in fertility problems and women's health related issues.
